You don't magically become good, you literally have to physically transform your heart and soul and mind slowly over many years. Drawing is not only your hand movements, but how you think, how your heart works, literally everything about you.
I can't teach you how I draw because it's literally my whole body working when I draw, which I can't teach you; I can't teach you to be me and my body. Every artist discovers him/herself to become who they are, which no one else can imitate.
Especially the first one. Oh my gosh. It was just like BLAM FEELS.

I'm sorry that I don't have much to say this time, my friend; I've got a bit of a headache going right now.
I'm not familiar with National Portfolio Day, and I don't know how late this comment is, but I hope everything worked/works out for you.
National Portfolio Day's just when a bunch of art colleges and unis conglomerate and high school students that wanna pursue a career in art visit them with their portfolio and get critiqued. I only got to see 2 universities but they gave me some real nice advice :> thank you!
I assumed that's what it was for the most part. It's great that you got to see anyone at all, though! I'm happy for you, my friend.
